Comic News Stand v1.0 was my first foray into the world of Android programming. My wife and I had just moved to the U.S. from overseas. I was unemployed and sharing a hotel room with my shiny new Motorola Droid. I wanted to build an application that would be relatively simple to create, yet useful enough to put out into the Android Market — and lo, Comic News Stand was born into the world as a free download for Android 1.5 and above.

I released an update based on user feedback within the first week. Comic News Stand v1.1 added the shipping date to the title bar of the screen.

Comic News Stand version 2.0 (tentatively titled Comic News Stand Plus), will see the addition of cover art for each title, price, and the ability to place orders from tfaw.com.
